Privacy
This Bookcase is built to let you read and listen with as little taken from you as possible.

What stays on your device
Reading progress, bookmarks, credits, unlocked chapters, owned ebooks, and — if you enter it — your birthday for age-gated stories. When you are signed in, birthday is kept on your account so 16+ and 18+ shelves do not ask again. Birthday is used only to check those shelves. It is not used for marketing.
What we do not collect
No location, no contacts, no microphone recording beyond the device’s own speech playback, and no sale of reading history.
Payments
When card checkout is connected, charges are processed by Square. Card numbers are not stored in the Bookcase. Statements and Square receipts may read SQ KNOT BE GONE THER — that descriptor belongs to this Bookcase’s Square account.
